Jans Arends finds himself among the winners at PartyPoker

The $500,000 guaranteed PPC Winter Main Event may be a little over a month away, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of tournaments to play at PartyPoker. But on the contrary. Players from around the world have been beefing up their bankrolls this weekend, and 16 PartyPoker players have snagged a seat in our first no-direct buy-in satellite in the $530 PPC Winter Main Event.

At the Grand, 120 players fought for a piece of it $118,700 prize pool, which was well above the advertised $75,000 guarantee. The juicy prize pool attracted some of the best poker tournament players in the industry, including our own Matt Staples, Dimitar Danchev, Christian RudolphAnd Simon Mattson.

This quartet of players didn’t make it into the top 23 where the prize money was distributed. They like Rodrigo Seiji, Justin Bonomo, Claas Segbrecht, Steven van Zadelhoff, Preben Stokkan, Alexandro TheologisAnd Joakim Andersson won money but missed a seat at the final table.

Allison Luan Lima Eleres ($3,264) finished his tournament in ninth place. Vladimir Minko ($3,855) and Thomas Boivin ($4,465) were next to fall, Boivin building on his recent MILLIONS Online KO success.

Spanish superstar from Great Britain Adrian Mateos ($5,209) made the list of eliminated players ahead of Ireland Christopher Goody ($6,411) and Alexandre Raymond ($8,502), with the latter taking home the final four-figure prize.

Swedish mill Michael Lundqvist ($11,859) was eliminated in third place and left Jan Arends Heads-up against the Irish-based Lithuanian Alex Kulev. Arends did the job and got $22,397, allowing Kulev to collect the $20,390 consolation prize.

Pgvholla Walks Away With Super $215 Title

The Awesome $215 is one of our favorite Sunday tournaments and another that has voided its guarantee this weekend. About 309 players competed for a share of the $61,800 prize pool when $50,000 was guaranteed.

PPC Winter Main Event Satellite Winner

The inaugural PartyPoker Championship Winter Main Event Satellite took place on November 20th and saw 45 players win their way to the final with no direct buy-in. Sixteen these entrants are now armed with a $530 PPC Winter Main Event seat for a shot at a $500,000 guaranteed prize pool.

$0.01 centrolls will be fed into the $1.10 buy-in feeders leading to the $5.50 Phase 1 and $22 Phase 2 satellites. The final stage takes place every Sunday at 20:05 GMT, with November 27th being your next chance to secure your spot in the PPC Winter Main Event.
