Jasprit Bumrah misses white ball series against New Zealand

The fast bowler from Indian team Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the upcoming ODI series against Sri Lanka which begins on Tuesday 10th January. He was included in the ODI squad and stated in a press release that he was declared fit by the National Cricket Academy (NCA), only to be withdrawn on the eve of the series opener.

According to a report in the Indian Express, Bumrah will not be considered a player of all formats to keep up with his workload this year. The fast bowler will be closely managed on home soil in anticipation of the 2023 ODI World Championship.

The report also adds that the senior pacer will miss the white ball series against New Zealand, while there is no word on his participation in the forthcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Bumrah is also unlikely to feature in all four Tests against Australia from next month.

“He is unlikely to play in the New Zealand white ball series that follows the ODIs in Sri Lanka,” Indian Express quoted a source as saying. March.
