Jeff Thomas: Model and social media influencer dies at the age of 35

Model and social media influencer Jeff Thomas has died aged 35, prompting messages of condolence from his peers on Instagram.

A spokesman for the Miami Police Department confirmed this on Thursday People that officers found Thomas’ body on March 8 in a Miami apartment building.

Thomas, who has more than 121,000 followers on Instagram, has been signed to AMCK Models, a male model agency in London. He was also the founder and director of his own art consulting agency, A popsicle.

Officers also told People that while the model died of an apparent suicide, the case is still open, with the Miami-Dade County Coroner stating that the cause of his death has not yet been determined.

The message was first shared by TMZ on Thursday morning, with the publication reporting that officials are still investigating Thomas’ death.

As noted on One Popsicle’s websiteThomas also studied International Business at Texas State University before beginning his art and modeling career.

The latest from Thomas Instagram post, shared on March 8, featured a photo of him relaxing in an outdoor swimming pool in Miami. “One cold jump a day keeps the doctor away,” he captioned the pic, “along with hashtags: #coldjump#spa#Mental health.

Many fans and famous faces have now taken to the comments section of Thomas’ post to share sweet tributes.

“Rest in Love,” wrote model Sasha Colby, while author Evan Ross Katz added, “Heartbroken.”

Kris Haigh, vice president of luxury clothing store Vince, added: “I met you in New York many years ago. You never failed to bring an up beat energy every time I saw you. We never know what people are really going through. I will use this as a reminder to ask people how they are more balanced when they appear happy on the outside. RIP Jeff.”
