Despite the fact that the Cowboys have only won three postseason games in the 21st century, they still rank as the most valuable sports franchise in the world at a whopping $8 billion, according to Forbes.

Not every Jones headline was glowing.

Earlier this year, Jones was sued by a woman who claimed to be his love child with a woman he had an affair with in the ’90s.

The Cowboys were also guilty of a voyeurism scandal in which they paid a confidential $2.4 million settlement after four members of their legendary cheerleading squad accused a senior team leader of voyeurism in their dressing room, according to ESPN, when they undressed.

Despite negative headlines, they’ve never sparked the kind of backlash that Daniel Snyder, current owner of the Washington Commanders, faces.

Jones has been a huge part of the NFL’s gargantuan financial growth over the past 30 years, making him valuable to all who have enjoyed the fruits of it.

Perhaps the latest troubling headline will come and go, as many have done around Jones in the past.

Today Jones was accused of sexual assault in front of many witnesses including his wife and a number of Dallas Cowboys players.

According to legal expert Amy Dash, the accuser is reportedly seeking a trial.

In the lawsuit, Jane accused Doe Jones of forcibly kissing her on the mouth without her consent on or about September 16, 2018 in the Tom Landry Room at AT&T Stadium. She also accused Jones of putting his tongue in her mouth and forcibly grabbing and groping her. In court documents, Doe says the room was full of witnesses when the alleged attack took place and that she believes the people in the room allegedly included former Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett, running back Ezekiel Elliott, Tyrone Crawford, Tyron Smith and other celebrities Cowboys included players.

In an alleged list of “witnesses,” Doe also named Demarcus Lawrence, the Cowboys’ defensive end, and Eugenia Jones, Jerry Jones’ wife.

Jones’ attorneys have called the allegations false.

In addition to the lawsuit against Jones and the Cowboys, according to Dash, the accuser is also suing the NFL, alleging that both were criminal complicity and tampered with evidence.

Jones bought the Dallas Cowboys for $150 million in 1989.

He has been married to his wife Eugenia Jones since 1963.
