After a rough start to their 4-game outing west, the New York Knicks (40-30, 21-14 away) can end in style if they defeat the Portland Trail Blazers (31-37, 17-15 home) can hit.
The Blazers are looking to put an end to their own three-game worse as they return home after a six-game road trip with just two wins.
Injuries will play a big role in this game as New York’s Jalen Brunson (foot) is questionable and could miss his fifth game in the last six.
Meanwhile, Damian Lillard (Wade) and Jerami Grant (Square) are both listed as questionable. Lillard missed Portland’s last game against the Pelicans, and Grant played just 19 minutes, scoring seven points.
It all starts Tuesday (March 14) at 10pm ET from the Moda Center in Portland, OR. You can watch the game live on NBA League Pass.

New York Betting Analysis
After struggling through a 3-game losing streak, Julius Randle finally lived up to his All-Star form as the Knicks clinched the No. 40 win in a 112-108 win over the Lakers.
Randle led with 33 points, eight rebounds and five assists while going 11-to-24 from the field. In New York’s last three losses, he had shot 18:63 from the field (28.6%), which included a terrible 5:24 performance in the previous loss to the Clippers.

He had support from RJ Barrett, who added 30 points and five boards. Immanuel Quickley was the only other Knicks player to be in double figures, scoring 15 points and adding three assists.
New York currently has the fifth-best offensive rating in the NBA, although it ranks 17th in defensive standings despite allowing 112.3 points per game, which ranks eighth.
The Knicks are the top-4 in both field goal defense (45.6%) and three-point defense (34.6%).

Portland Betting Analysis
The Blazers are just running out of games, and even Damian Lillard’s superhero level game is unlikely to get them into the play-in.
After Lillard was out, Portland was bombed 127-110 by the New Orleans Pelicans — a team that defeated both Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram.
Anfernee Simons was the top scorer with 17 points and four assists. Kevin Knox had 14 points and five rebounds off the bench, along with Shaedon Sharpe’s 14, with four boards and three dimes.

Portland is 26th in the NBA on defense with three-point shooting, and they were set on fire by the Pelicans, who drilled 18 of their first 30 money balls and shot 47.5% for the game.
The Blazers’ defense was an abomination during that slide, yielding 120.7 points per game with teams shooting 49.8% from field and 40.3% from long range.
Knicks vs Trail Blazers betting prediction
This will be the second and final meeting between these teams this season, with Portland winning the first game 132-129 in OT.
New York wasn’t a great cover in the Pacific Northwest, scoring just 3-7 ATS in the last 10 in Portland. On the other hand, the Blazers had their problems with the opposition in the east and went 11-16 ATS in non-conference games.
And don’t count on that first home game deficit after a road trip: Portland is only ATS 1-4 in its last five home games after a road trip that lasted seven days or more.
That’s enough to bet with confidence on the Knicks, who are 7-1 ATS after a win in which they covered.
