Koe Wetzel, Diplo and Kodak Black share a behind-the-scenes look at filming the music video for Wasted in Miami

It looks like these three didn’t have fun filming the video for their new single “Wasted.”

After much ado, the song features the surprising combination of EDM/pop producer Diplo, rapper Kodak Black and none other than the Texas rock star Kö Wetzel is everywhere today.

I won’t lie, when I first heard about this trio I had no idea what to expect or what this song would sound like and it’s definitely a happy party song with a catchy hook and a fun production.

I feel like it really is the embodiment of all those “when you shuffle the playlist” memes because of the variety of artists involved, and while the new tune certainly won’t be for everyone, I just think it’s cool see three of them. Different artists are working together and trying something new.

And not only did they release a new music video today featuring the song they filmed in Miami last summer, but they also give us a behind-the-scenes look at how it all went.

We see multiple shots of the three on a yacht, hanging out by the fire, partying in the summer heat, and even cruising the water in this Jeep-looking car speedboat machine (obviously I have no idea what you call it).

We also see Diplo (real name Thomas Wesley) receive first aid after getting a shrapnel on set while he jokes that it “took three women to help him” get it out.

There’s also some footage of Koe playing an American flag-themed acoustic guitar (one that’s apparently out of tune). So if you want a glimpse into the whole process of filming Wasted, check this out:

And make sure you check out the final product here as well:
