KTLA Fires Anchor Mark Mester After He Called Out the Network On-Air to Defend Former Colleague

KTLA anchor Markus Master was fired from the station after calling the station during the broadcast.

To marks longtime colleague Lynette Romero recently left her job at the station after almost 24 years at the station. The network hoped she would spend the rest of her career with them, but she left to pursue another opportunity.

instead of giving Lynett a proper farewell after more than two decades of service to the station, she was not given an opportunity to say goodbye and no farewell video was filmed.

Sam Ruby announced her departure with the following statement: “After nearly 24 years, Lynette Romero, our friend Lynette, has decided to no longer host our weekend morning news. KTLA management had hoped that she would stay here her entire career and KTLA has worked hard to make that happen, but Lynette has decided to pursue another opportunity elsewhere.”

To mark took matters into his own hands and walked away from the script to give his girlfriend the goodbye he felt she deserved.
