WWE Legend Kurt Angle has revealed that Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero and Bob Holly ‘beat up’ ex-star Daniel Puder.
Powder is a former WWE star who won the Tough Enough competition in 2004. He was in a storyline with Kurt Angle and put the legend in a legitimate Kimura lock, upsetting the Olympic gold medalist.
In his recent appearance on The Bubba ArmyAngle said the dressing room was upset with Powder’s behavior behind the scenes at the 2005 Royal Rumble. Guerrero, Benoit and Holly legitimately punched Powder in the ring to send him a message.
“He (Puder) started to get really arrogant and tell people he was in the main event of the Royal Rumble because he was going to be in the rumble, he thought he was in the main event. The guys heard about it and went, ‘ok, this guy is an asshole.’ So at the Royal Rumble, they made sure the top four contestants were Powder, Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit, and Bob Holly… They beat that kid to death and threw him over the top rope. And it was done. And you know what, his career never got better after that,” Angle said. [H/T WrestlingInc]
Puder lasted four minutes at the Royal Rumble and was eventually eliminated by Bob Holly.
Daniel Puder had real heat with Kurt Angle in WWE
In an exclusive interview with SportkeedaPuder said that Kurt Angle was a bit of a “punk” and claimed that Angle didn’t want to shake his hand during their fight because he was angry with him.
“I think he’s a bit of a punk. It showed when I wanted to shake his hand and he didn’t want to shake my hand. I understand I showed him on TV he didn’t expect I have to do this those were the ground rules you can listen to the referee who actually stopped it early on. There’s a video online… I’m like, what’s up, you want a point tell the truth,” Puder said.
The former WWE star, who is a trained MMA fighter, thought Angle was a bully but said he was still willing to work with the Olympic gold medalist.
