“La La Land” is coming to Broadway for a brand new musical!

The musical is directed Bartlett Sherand the book was written by playwrights Ayad Aktar And Matthew Decker.

The planned musical will also feature music by Justin Hurwitz, Benj Pasek And Justin-Paulwho were the original composers and songwriters of the film.

la la country centered on Sebastian (gosling) and Mia (Stone) brought together by a shared desire to do what they love. But as success mounts, they are faced with choices that begin to unravel the fragile fabric of their love affair, and the dreams they have worked so hard to secure threaten to tear them apart.

The film received many Academy Award nominations, winning Best Director, Best Actress, Production Design, Cinematography, Original Score and Original Song.

“I’m so excited to see Lionsgate and the incredible team behind it again la la country adapting the film for the Broadway stage is the next exciting chapter in its development,” producer Mark Platt shared in a statement. “We have assembled a world-class team to create a musical that will delight la la country‘s millions of current fans and introduces the property to a whole new audience.”
