Celebrities experimented with different styles and silhouettes, sticking to a gothic black color scheme.

Singer Lady Gaga performed her Oscar-nominated song “Hold My Hand” from Top Gun: Maverick at the ceremony, wearing an outfit straight off the Versace runway.

Model Gigi Hadid originally wore this statement dress to wrap up last Thursday’s show. The dramatic dress featured a dropped waist, sheer sleeves and exposed boning at the bodice.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever actress Danai Gurira chose a classic ball gown silhouette for her Oscars outfit, with her hair stacked on top of each other for height and drama.

Fleabag actress and author Phoebe Waller-Bridge upped the sex appeal in her Dolce & Gabbana outfit: a strapless black dress with a lace corset bodice paired with bright red lipstick.

Dressed in an elegant Louis Vuitton outfit, director Ava DuVernay added some interest to her black velvet gloved dress with a silver sequin wrap and train.

American actress Jenny Slate wore a simple black strapless dress to really let her statement necklace shine.
