Large helicopter lands at Acadiana High School in Lafayette

Many people in the Lafayette and Scott area questioned why a helicopter was spotted at Acadiana High Tuesday morning.

Well, now you know why a helicopter landed near Bill Dotson Stadium this morning and there was no medical emergency on the Acadiana High campus.

According to Beau Falgout’s Facebook post, the helicopter landed on campus when a trainer arrived during a recruiting mission.

The University of Miami coach made his way to Acadiana High to recruit a young man to play for the Rams, and like most coaches, the Miami coach arrived in style.

When coaches are in the area, they often hop from school to school in a helicopter to save time, and that’s what appears to be happening on the Acadiana High campus today.
