The Reds are fifth in the table with 65 points from 36 games, one behind fourth-placed Manchester United, who are one game ahead of their rivals. Leicester are 19th on 30 points, two games behind Everton in 17th with two games to go.
After a sluggish opening, Jones brought the deadlock in the 33rd minute with a great first finish from a Mohamed Salah cross after Leicester’s high defending line was caught by a long ball over the top of Liverpool keeper Alisson.
The 22-year-old midfielder netted the ball again three minutes later and again it was Salah who set it up, with Jones touching a ball from the spin before firing home.
The home crowd did their best to get his side back in the game but Alexander-Arnold struck a brilliant third after Salah deflected a free-kick down his run in the 71st minute and his thunderous finish into the top corner shattered any hope of Ruined Leicester could have made a comeback.
Liverpool clinched their seventh consecutive league win while Leicester have just two points in their last four games.
