In 2020, Edwards was set for a main event showdown with former champion Tyron Woodley, only for the outbreak of the Covid pandemic to send the fight into an ether of losing competitions. “I was heartbroken, devastated,” says Edwards.

But how times change. And this, a defiant Edwards insists, is his time.

Once again Herbert has Klein on the fence and appears to land a low knee. We have another time out and Herbert has docked a point! He probably needs a finish now if he wants to win this.

We continue and the Brit secures a decent ride! Can he find an assist or mount a significant bottom and pound?

He’s landing decent elbows at the moment!

Herbert with a nice kick in the knee to the body. Klein responds with a one-two.

Herbert holds Klein against the fence and throws a knee, but Klein suggests it landed low and the referee halts the action.

We’ll keep going and it’ll quickly turn into a firefight! Herbert has to be careful here…

There are many leg kicks from Herbert as the round progresses. The crowd is getting a little restless though.

Klein backs Herbert up again and connects with a clean right cross, then a left hook late in the round.

Klein comes forward early in this round. He misses with a headbutt, then narrowly with a left hook.

Herbert can’t get his back out of the cage, and eventually Klein closes the distance, landing a solid knee nearby.

Now the Slovak grabs Herbert, but they soon part. Herbert lands a headbutt and then a right cross. now an inside low kick, but Klein responds with a left hook, which lands this time.

Herbert and Klein both miss early with headbutts. Lots of feints from every man.

Klein with a decent southpaw jab supporting Herbert. Klein then secures a takedown and goes straight into full cover.

Slovakia’s Klein does his best to get rid of some elbows, but Herbert keeps him close. The Brit briefly tries an armbar while intermittently throwing hammer fists off his back.

Klein stands and eats an Up Kick! Now Herbert is standing and catches a headbutt!
