This article details 10 must-watch shows like Reboot.

The latest comedy series from Hulu reboot is now available on the streaming platform. If you’re a fan of this hilarious new show and looking for something akin to binge-watch, then you’re in luck. Here’s a list of ten amazing series to dig into after catching them all reboot. These shows either follow a similar comedy sensibility reboot or play in the same wacky world of entertainment as the original Hulu.

Equal for equal – 10 series how reboot, you have to watch

Chop (2021 – present)

This comedy-drama from HBO Max immediately came to mind after watching the first episode of reboot. Both shows focus on a determined, offbeat writer trying to make it big in Hollywood. The main characters in Chop are Deborah Vance, an aging comedian, and her comedy assistant Ava Daniels. Their relationship mirrors that of Hannah and Gordon reboot. Chop is an award-winning masterpiece that easily ranks among my favorite shows of the year. I can’t recommend it highly enough. The first two seasons are currently available on Amazon Prime Video in the UK.

extras (2005 – 2007)

Ricky Gervais’ sequel to The office only ran for two seasons (with a Christmas special), but it’s considered one of his finest achievements. The British sitcom tells the story of struggling actor Andy Millman, who plays extras on a number of sets with his best friend Maggie. Andy eventually made it big when his sitcom When The Whistle Blows finally got the green light. This show-in-show format is very similar to that used in reboot. Both are hilarious, with authentic behind-the-scenes portrayals of the world of filmmaking.

modern family (2009 – 2020)

reboot Creator Steven Levitan was also the co-creator of modern family, a family sitcom that ran for 11 seasons with over 250 recorded episodes. The series follows three related but vastly different families in a mockumentary format with these now-common denominational interview segments. The show was hugely influential and amassed a huge following over the years. Levitan would take his skills from this gargantuan production and apply them to the Hulu original reboot.

Studio 60 on Sunset Strip (2006 – 2007)

Aaron Sorkin’s comedy-drama series centers on the production of a live comedy show almost identical to that of Saturday night live. The series gave viewers a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at the inner workings of the television industry, while also producing satirical comedy and plenty of far-fetched antics to enjoy. It had the potential to be a smash hit, but was canceled early due to its heavy budget needs. Sorkin would go into other television and film successes, but this one holds a special place in my memories.

key and peele (2012 – 2015)

One of the many highlights of reboot is Keegan-Michael Key’s performance as Reed Sterling. It was almost as if this role was handwritten for Key. He’s clearly having a lot of fun as the pretentious, selfish actor in the show’s first season. Key rose to fame on the American sketch show key and peele, in which he starred and co-created with filmmaker Jordan Peele. The Comedy Central series ran for five seasons and was praised for its infectious humor and spunky originality.

BoJack Horseman (2014 – 2020)

The Netflix animated series stars Will Arnett in the title role of a former actor best known for a ’90s sitcom called Horsin’ Around. The failed star attempts a comeback with a revealing bio. There are many parallels between this series and rebootyet for an added bonus, some of the reboot Stars also appear in adult animation. Keegan-Michael Key plays a billionaire bachelor in a handful of episodes, and Rachel Bloom also has a minor role on the show.

Curb your enthusiasm (1999 – present)

It might seem daunting to watch a show that’s been up since the late 1990s and has a twelfth season in the works on HBO, but this comedy series is well worth your time. The sitcom was directed by Larry David (His field) as an authentic version of himself. It’s another show that explores the wacky world of Hollywood, with a semi-fictionalized portrayal of this unique industry from Larry David’s own personal experiences and perspectives. This embarrassing and often hilarious situation comedy truly deserves the critical acclaim it’s gotten – one of the all-time greats.

GLOW (2017 – 2019)

This Netflix original was canceled well before its time, but it still deserves a binge watch. The title, which is an acronym for Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling, pretty much sums up the premise. This three-season comedy explores the ups and downs of professional women’s wrestling in the ’80s. There are some outstanding performances in this hilarious drama, particularly from the leads Alison Brie, Betty Gilpin and Marc Maron. I remember the show for its exceptional script, iconic performances and stunning soundtrack – a must-see.

30 rocks (2006 – 2020)

Do you see a theme here? 30 rocks is another sitcom set in the entertainment industry. Tina Fey’s hugely successful series ran for seven seasons and followed the everyday dramas thrown at head writer Liz Lemon (Fey) in a fictional NBC sketch comedy series. As well as rebootthe main character is a writer who traverses the tricky world of American television with many narcissistic actors to endure.

The newsroom (2012 – 2014)

Last but not least, Aaron Sorkin’s political drama The newsroom is another well-crafted series focused on producing a TV show. This time it’s a fictional news channel, with Jeff Daniels playing troubled presenter Will McAvoy. This three-season drama might be hilariously cute at times and not all of its comedy lands, but it wins you over in the end. Filled with Sorkin’s essential mannerisms and some dynamite performances, this is yet another behind-the-scenes drama that will overtake you once you’re done with Hulu’s first season reboot.
