Liverpool injury update: Latest news and return dates for Trent Alexander-Arnold, Thiago and Ibrahima Konate

Iverpool are top of the Premier League when domestic football returns after the international break this weekend and are sweating over a number of players.
Captain Virgil van Dijk will miss the away game against Wolves after being given an extra game for offensive language and behavior following his sending off against Newcastle.
The defensive problems don’t stop there for Jurgen Klopp, however, with both Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ibrahima Konate struggling with fitness issues. In midfield, Thiago Alcantara is questionable
There are still fixtures for many players ahead of Saturday’s trip to Molineux, so everyone at Melwood is hoping for good news.
Here is your latest update from Liverpool injuries and return flight dates…
Trent Alexander Arnold
The right-back was sent off against Aston Villa and subsequently retired from England duty.
Asked for an update after the game, Jürgen Klopp said: “I don’t know exactly. I asked him, he said it was so [his] paralyze.
“’Not too serious’ is his opinion, but of course we have to wait for the scans, then we’ll know more.”
He is considered doubtful for the trip to Wolves.
Ibrahima Konate
Centre-back Konate dropped out of the France squad after missing Liverpool’s last two games with a hamstring injury.
Les Bleus coach Didier Deschamps confirmed that the player would have to be assessed upon his inclusion in the team, while stressing: “Of course I won’t take any risks.” Jean-Clair Todibo was then called up to replace Konate.
Konate also has doubts about whether he will face Wolves.
Thiago Alcantara
The midfielder has suffered a setback on his comeback journey after initially hoping to return before the international break.
“Thiago had a little setback,” Klopp told reporters earlier this month. “He started training with the team and suffered a bit of a setback, so we have to slow down the pace a bit.”
“It’s not cool for him, it’s not cool for us, but it is what it is. Thiago will use the international break (September) to stay up to date, I’m pretty sure. Hopefully it should be enough. The rest is available.”
Thiago’s return is now not expected until later in September.
