Liverpool provided a major transfer boost as the Fluminense president revealed he is open to talks with Andre Trindade

Luminese are open to talks with Liverpool about a move for midfielder Andre Trindade in January.
Liverpool were linked with the Brazilian in the summer as they looked to strengthen in the middle of the pitch, but ultimately opted to sign Wataru Endo and Ryan Gravenberch towards the end of the window.
However, Fluminese was reluctant to sell Andre in the middle of the Copa Libertadores push, as the club now reached the semi-finals of the competition.
Speaking about Liverpool’s interest in the 22-year-old, Fluminese president Mario Bittencourt confirmed the Reds had made an approach, opening the door to a potential sale in January.
“Liverpool contacted me directly about Andre,” said Bittencourt.
“I told their director: My friend, I’m not selling Andre now. If you’re looking to buy now to bring in January, we can start the conversation. Or if you want to wait until December, we can do that.”
It remains to be seen whether Liverpool will make contact with Fluminese again after their midfield rebuild appears to be complete following the departures of Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and James Milner.
Alexis Mac Allister was often deployed in lower midfield in the opening weeks of the season, but is expected to take on a more advanced role after the international break, with both Thiago and Stefan Bajcetic close to returning from injury.
