Liverpool star Mohamed Salah’s home has been robbed near Cairo

Egyptian and Liverpool star Mohamed Salah’s luxurious Cairo mansion was broken into over the weekend, police say.
Two officers told the Associated Press on Monday the burglars stole only cable TV receivers from the winger’s mansion in the upscale area of Tagamoa, about 50 kilometers east of central Cairo.

A cooking gas cylinder in the Liverpool player’s garden proved too heavy for the burglars to steal, officials said. Both officers spoke on condition of anonymity as they were not authorized to speak to the media.
Authorities were first called to the home after a close family member noticed one of the windows was open Saturday night, officials said.
The investigation into the robbery is ongoing and no arrests have been made.
Salah became the first Egyptian to win the English Premier League after joining Liverpool from Roma in 2018. Salah, who hails from the Delta town of Nagrig, is Liverpool’s all-time top scorer in the league.
