A new wave of lockdowns came into effect in the Lost ArkSmilegates game. From 300,000 to around 100,000 active players, as well as the move that allowed for the removal of tens of thousands of bots and apparently also regular accounts from active players.
According to multiple reports, many players who hadn’t logged in for weeks were banned for no apparent reason. Unfortunately, inactivity is not a major cause of a perpetuity ban.
So the system seems to have been cleaned up by deleting both bots and inactive accounts of unsuspecting players who were therefore unable to access the game at any point for no apparent reason. These reports collected on ResetERA revealed that many banned accounts were not actually verified on Steam and this would have contributed to the ban of the profiles.
We have to wait for clarifications from the developers, so we remind you that the Lost Ark x The Witcher 3 event begins on January 18th.
