Lucy Fallon returns to Coronation Street after three years
Lucy Fallon is reportedly returning to the ITV soap as Bethany Platt, once again joining one of the show’s most beloved families.
The 27-year-old recently gave birth to her first child, Sonny, with partner and Preston North End footballer Ryan Ledson.
She first joined Corrie in 2015, but in 2020 Beth left the legendary road to intern at a magazine in London.
The actress is believed to be returning to the Salford studios in the coming weeks to film new scenes. However, their arrival is not expected to air until next year “after Christmas”.
A TV source told The sun: “Lucy is one of the soap’s most talented actresses, having won many awards for her powerful portrayal of Bethany’s grooming story.
“She was destined for great things and everyone was sad when she left, but the door was always open to someone of her caliber and popularity.

“A few weeks ago the bosses contacted her about the possibility of returning and told her everything they had planned for Bethany if she agreed.
“She has discussed it with her boyfriend and family because she is now a mother to a baby.
“After talking about childcare and how best to juggle it all, she was able to say she would love to come back.
“Everyone is very excited. They were really interested in getting her back.”
Coronation Street star is retiring from the ITV soap after more than a decade
Macy Alabi, who plays Ruby Dobbs, daughter of Tyrone Dobbs and step-daughter of Fiz Brown on Coronation Street, has retired from Cobblestones since joining over a decade ago.
Current spoilers revealed that she was replaced in a “surprising recast”.
Macy decided to retire from the role and Ruby will now be played by another child actress, Billie Naylor, who will appear in new scenes in upcoming episodes. The mirror understands.
In one of Macy’s final scenes, viewers saw her wave goodbye to her stepmother Fiz earlier this May as she traveled to Norwich to find a new job.
According to spoilers, Billie Naylor is taking over the role starting this week when Ruby returns and will appear in new scenes in upcoming episodes.

It looks like she’ll join the series while it’s about the sibling rivalry which could lead to clashes with sister Hope Stape.
The Mirror explains: “Ruby and Hope will be competing at the Little Big Shotz classes at the community center this summer.
“In the classes, led by barmaid Glenda Shuttleworth, the kids are performing for a new show.”
It continues, “Hope is expecting to get the lead in the summer extravaganza, but she’s furious when her sister Ruby gets it instead.”
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1.
