Man (40s) dies after single vehicle crash in Co Down

A man in his 40s has died in a road accident involving a single vehicle in Ballygowan.

The accident, reported just before 7.30am on Friday, happened on Moneyreagh Road.

Emergency services went to the scene where the driver was pronounced dead.

The road was temporarily closed but has since been reopened.

Sergeant Amanda McIvor said: “We are investigating the circumstances of the collision and are asking that any witnesses who may have come forward as of Thursday 22 Contact us on 101 and quote reference number CW 260 – 09/23/22.”
