Man and woman charged with drugs and firearm offences

A man and woman have been charged with drug and firearms offenses following searches in East Belfast and Newtownabbey.

Both aged 27, they were charged with a range of offenses including possession and intended supply of Class A and B drugs and possession of a firearm in suspicious circumstances.

After searches of properties in East Belfast and Newtownabbey on Tuesday, the pair are due to appear in Belfast Magistrates Court on August 30.

As usual, all charges will be examined by the prosecutor.
