Man and woman injured in Mississauga fireworks shootout

A man and woman were shot dead during a fireworks celebration outside a Mississauga townhouse complex Monday night.

Peel Regional Police said they were called to the Bristol Road area around 9:40pm. W. and Whitehorn Ave.

Both victims were taken to a trauma center in a life-threatening condition, but have since stabilized.

There is no suspicious information, but police say there is no threat to public safety and speak of a “single incident”.
