Man City XI vs Arsenal starting line-up, confirmed team news and recent injuries for Community Shield today

Osko Gvardiol is not in the squad for his Manchester City debut against Arsenal in the Commnunity Shield at Wembley today.
And Kevin De Bruyne is only on the bench as Pep Guardiola names a largely first starting line-up for the opener.
The Belgian is back in training after a hamstring injury forced him out of the Champions League final in May and has not played since, although he was back on the bench in last week’s friendly loss to Atletico Madrid.

Pep Guardiola is also without Nathan Ake. The Dutch defender limped in the most recent game against Bayern Munich and, like De Bruyne, was an unused substitute in Seoul.
Julian Alvarez played a lot in pre-season and could line up behind Erling Haaland, while Mateo Kovacic makes his competitive debut in midfield.
Man City XI: Ortega; Walker, Stones, Dias, Akanji; Rodri, Kovacic; Bernardo, Grealish, Alvarez; Haaland
subs: Ederson, Phillips, Laporte, De Bruyne, Gomez, Foden, Palmer, Lewis, McAtee
Injuries: Ake, De Bruyne
Date and Time: 4:00 p.m. BST, Sunday 6 August 2023
Venue: Wembley Stadium
