Man City XI vs West Ham: Expected lineup, confirmed team news and recent injuries

Manchester City face three injury problems ahead of their game against West Ham on Saturday.
Jack Grealish ruled out of England duty with a thigh problem which is not believed to be serious, fueling hopes he will make the game in the capital.
John Stones was also missing during the international match but is close to returning from injury.
Matoe Kovacic missed Croatia’s games due to a new problem that reportedly required an investigation, although it was suspected his absence from Monday’s win over Armenia was merely a precautionary measure.
“I had some problems before the game against Latvia but now I’m ready,” the City midfielder said before the game.
“But I will try to make the most of the last training session and the coach will decide. Whoever is most ready will play. It’s not easy to play every three days, but that’s how it is, there’s no other way.”
Pep Guardiola, who returned from absence on Wednesday following back surgery, will have to choose between Bernardo Silva, Phil Foden and new signing Jeremy Doku on the wing, as well as Grealish should he be fit.
Julian Alvarez will retain his role as a striker alongside Erling Haaland despite Kevin De Bruyne’s continued absence.
Predicted Man City XI: Ederson; Walker, Stones, Akanji, Ake; Rodri, Kovacic; Silva, Alvarez, Grealish; Haaland
Injuries: De Bruyne
Doubt: Stones, Grealish, Kovacic
Time and date: 3:00pm BST, Saturday 16 September 2023
Venue: London Stadium
