Man exceeds 30mph on E-Scooter in a village near Scarborough

Officers received information about the incident which took place at Crab Lane, Crossgates, near Scarborough and involved a young man using the electric scooter.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said it was illegal to use an e-scooter on public roads.

“Any person who unlawfully uses a motorized transport vehicle on public roads or other prohibited areas commits a criminal offense and may be prosecuted,” it said.
