Man With Knife Leads To Discovery Of Killed Woman: Toronto Police Officers

Reports of a man with a knife on a street in Westend led police to the body of a woman late Sunday.

Toronto police were called to the area of Davenport Road at 10:25 p.m. and Uxbridge Ave., near Old Weston Rd. and St. Clair Ave. for reports of a man with a knife.

“Police arrived on scene, found a man with a knife and arrested him,” the deputy inspector said. Keri Fernandes said at the scene early Monday.
“As a result, a woman was found with injuries to her body in a house in another location. The woman succumbed to her injuries.”
The woman was found at a home on Chambers Ave., near Rogers and Old Weston Rds.
There is no information about the charges.
The relationship between the man and woman is unknown and no further information about their identities was immediately available.
The investigation is ongoing and the homicide squad is investigating.
