United agreed a £64million plus add-ons deal to bring the 20-year-old to Old Trafford from Atalanta earlier this summer, but a back injury prevented him from taking part in the club’s first three games of the season. He is fit to play and starts on the bench, with Anthony Martial taking the lead.

The club has lacked presence in the No.9 position and coach Erik ten Hag believes Hojlund can step in straight away when he is on the pitch.
“So he had a good week of training,” Ten Hag said. “So tomorrow we have the final training session, but he’s fine, he reacted well. So he will be available for Sunday’s game. I think he can start.
“I think there is a big spotlight for every player. At United you have to perform. Every position and every player.”
Ten Hag also confirmed that Sergio Reguilon had been training and would be available after his loan move from Tottenham to United was sealed, but will not be thrown straight in at the deep end with Diogo Dalot continuing to operate on the left.
Deadline day signing Altay Bayindir, who signed for £4.3m from Fenerbahce, is on the substitutes’ bench after registering on time, with the goalkeeper brought in as a replacement for Andre Onana. Sofyan Amrabat will not be available if the registration deadline is missed.
Raphael Varane sits on the treatment table next to his fellow defenders Shaw and Tyrell Malacia, and Mason Mount is also out due to injury. Victor Lindelof should replace Varane in central defense while Anthony Martial is preferred over Hojlund in attack.
