Marcelo Flores is set to leave Arsenal as Mexican club Tigres agree a £2million transfer

Arsenal youngster Marcelo Flores is set to join Mexican club Tigres in a permanent transfer worth around £2million.
Flores traveled to Mexico on Thursday to undergo a medical and sign a four-year deal at the Estadio Universitario.
The 19-year-old has been at Arsenal since joining from Ipswich in 2019 but has not made a single first-team appearance in that time.
However, the Mexican winger played regularly for the club’s youth teams and was loaned to Spanish club Real Oviedo last season.

Upon returning to Mexico, Flores told reporters: “Satisfied with this new stage and ready to start the new stage with the best club in Mexico.”
The transfer is expected to be completed on Saturday and Tigres will travel against Atlas in their next Liga MX game on September 18 after the international break.
