Martin Lewis says £15million Tesco Clubcard vouchers are about to expire

Lewis said £15million Clubcard vouchers would expire on May 31 and urged people to check the expiry date on their vouchers.

Lewis said: “Go online and look, or check on the app if you have any of these coupons. There you will find out whether you have any unused vouchers.”

He added if you trade them in now, you’ll have one year to use them.

Tesco Clubcard vouchers can be redeemed for rewards including discounts on Pizza Express, Disney Plus and more.

Martin Lewis shares a ‘trick’ to extend the life of your Tesco Clubcard voucher

For those who can’t decide what to spend it on: Lewis said there was a way to extend the life of your Tesco Clubcard vouchers so you can do this spend them at a later date.

At GMB He said: “I have a trick for you. If you’re saying I don’t know what to do with it now, here’s a trick on how to extend the life of your coupons.”

“Suppose you have a £10 voucher, go online, log in, spend say 50p of your £10, so you now have £1.50 worth of restaurant vouchers – because 50p becomes £1.50 .”

“For the rest of the £9.50 they spend it again and it’s valid for two more years.”

“So if you only spend a small part of the voucher, the rest will be reissued and it’ll be valid for another two years.”

Tesco lowers the value of Clubcard points

Supermarket giant Tesco announced earlier this year that this will be the case change their club card benefits program in June.

Currently, Clubcard customers can triple the value of their points when they shop at one of more than 100 “rewards partners,” including Pizza Express, Disney+ and Hotels.com.

The change will only allow shoppers to double their points instead of triple them, meaning they’re getting less bang for their buck.

This change will take effect on June 14th.
