More than 6,000 visitors and 150 exhibitors attend the event, held at Leeds Royal Armories, which aims to boost economic growth through renewal.

Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen and Teesside Airport Real Estate Manager Victoria Huntley highlighted the airport’s £200million Southside Business Park, which is currently under development and is expected to create 4,400 jobs when completed. TVCA Executive Director Julie Gilhespie also explained to attendees how they can get involved with the two development companies aiming to upgrade city centers by encouraging investment and cutting red tape.

Representatives from Teesside Freeport are also on hand to highlight the tax and duty incentives for businesses and investors in the 4,500 hectare Freeport – the UK’s largest and first operational port.

The Tees Valley Exhibition is organized in association with the Thames Estuary Growth Board, whose Envoy, Kate Willard OBE, is also Chairwoman of the Board of Teesside International Airport Limited and its holding company, Goosepool (2019) Limited.

Kate Willard OBE said: “There are so many things that bring the Thames Estuary and the Tees Valley together. I am delighted to be practically together this year at UKREiiF – the UK’s premier growth and renewal event.

“We both have freeports, exceptional overseas investment opportunities, great companies, great strides toward net zero, and (we like to think!) awesome people to work with. And perhaps most importantly, both Ben and I are on a mission to do great things. And we will do that too.”
