Former first lady Melania Trump said the nationwide baby food shortage under the Biden administration was “heartbreaking to see” on Saturday at Fox & Friends Weekend.

“It’s heartbreaking to see this [families] have problems, and the food is not available for children [the] 21st century in the United States of America,” she told co-host Pete Hegseth. Trump attributed the shortage to “leadership.”

“Lead,” Hegseth repeated. “Or lack of it?” Trump agreed to that.

On the overall state of the country under Biden, she said it’s “sad to see what’s going on when you really look into it.” Ms Trump added that many people are “struggling and suffering”.

“I hope it changes quickly,” she said.

The former model also responded to never gracing the cover of Vogue. In a “double standard” benefiting prominent Democratic women, Vice President Kamala Harris was on the cover of the magazine before taking office, and First Lady Jill Biden did the cover five months after her husband’s presidency, Hegseth said.

Former first ladies Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama — also Democrats — also benefited from the double standard, with Clinton appearing on the cover as first lady and Obama appearing on the cover three times.

Melania Trump, a Republican, never made the cover despite her background in business and fashion and her beauty, Hegseth said.

Republican women are on the wrong side of Vogue’s double standards because the magazine is “biased,” she said.

“And they have likes and dislikes, and it’s so obvious,” she told Hegseth. “And I think [the] The American people and everyone sees it. It was her decision and I have far more important things to do – and I did that in the White House – than being on the cover of Vogue.”

Still, Melania Trump differs from other first ladies in at least one way. She was also the only one to visit the border, twice. Melania Trump: Nationwide baby food shortages ‘heartbreaking to see’
