Missouri vs Princeton betting trends
Missouri is interesting because the seventh seed was an easy trend to get picked in the opening round. Utah State became favorites in their game by around 1.5 points.
Instead, Missouri won by double digits and sent the Aggies home. After ten three-pointers, the Tigers took advantage of some cold shots from Aggies (16.7%) from the touchline to advance into the second round.
With a total of 149.5 points, the over/under is a bit high. However, it moves a little. Considering that Missouri scored almost 80 points per game and Princeton averaged 76.5 points, slow isn’t in Missouri’s vocabulary.
Usually both teams play faster. Missouri typically allows 74.6 points per game. Meanwhile, Princeton had allowed between 65 and 70 points in their previous three games before Arizona. Overall, Princeton is 78th in defensive standings and Missouri is 272nd. Pace dictates an elevated score.

Princeton stuns the college basketball world
Princeton came into the tournament already having back-to-back wins over Pennsylvania and Yale. Those were two arguably better teams in the Ivy League. However, these tigers proved they were capable of throwing a slight surprise. Midway through the second half, Princeton was 49-39 against Arizona. What happened next was an amazing reversal of fate, and Princeton took advantage of it.

Princeton scored 20 of the last 26 points against an Arizona team that finished fifth with 82.7 points per game. The Tigers held Arizona on just 57 field goal attempts and 3-for-16 shots from three-point range. The last time Arizona scored less than 60 points was nearly two months ago. Tosan Evbuomwan led all Princeton scorers by 15 points, but Blake Peters delivered three perimeter daggers to speed up the Ivy League school. Of course the question will be. Can Princeton pull off another surprise?
Missouri turned the tables on Thursday
Missouri has no contenders in the Wooden Award odds, but this Tigers team sure is fun to watch. During the SEC season, Missouri gave as best it could. The Tigers averaged 79.5 points per game but scored nearly 75 per contest. It was one reason Utah State was favored as the 10th seed by around 1.5 points. The Aggies believed they were the team that could slow Missouri down. Well, that didn’t happen as the Tigers won 76-65.

Oh my god this season.

Honestly, this is a golden opportunity for Missouri to make the Sweet 16. Dennis Gates and Missouri know Princeton won’t just be asked. Expect the unexpected when the Tigers play the Tigers. Can Missouri and Princeton keep both teams under 25% from three-point range?
It’s possible, but Missouri has a significant advantage with their inside-outside game. Kobe Brown scored 19 points and was able to step outside to catch three shots from beyond the arc. D’Moi Hodge hit five threes and led all scorers by 23 points. Princeton may struggle to match Missouri’s pace.
Missouri vs Princeton Prediction
Missouri and Princeton intervened defensively when they had to. For Princeton, it was a ten-minute stretch of amazing defense and some lucky jumps. Missouri faced a team that went stone cold from three-point range.
Saturday night is expected to be pretty surreal. Can Princeton do it again? It’s hard to doubt a New Jersey team. After all, there was St. Peter’s Basilica last year.
Tip: Princeton +6.5 (-120)
