Jorge Soler OVER 1.5 Hit +150, DraftKings (Bet: 1 unit to gain 1.5 units)

I had to do a triple take this morning while researching this bet because Soler has been amazing against lefties this season.

It’s just 39 plate appearances against southpaws this year, but Soler hits .406 with seven homers for a 1.638 OPS.

He meets Rockies starter Austin Gomber, who has conceded a .273 AVG and .504 SLG% to righties this season.

Add to that the fact that this game will be played at hitter-friendly Coors Field and it all means Soler is in for a great night.

We’re sorry, but this video could not be loaded.

BONUS: Jorge Soler 1st Hit +1000, DraftKings

Soler is expected to bat second for the Marlins early in the first inning and could very easily be the first player to bat in this ball game.

Lourdes Gurriel Jr. OVER 1.5 Total Bases +140, DraftKings (Bet: 1 unit to win 1.4 units)

Gurriel Jr. might be the hottest hitter in baseball right now. In May, the former Blue Jay had an OPS of 1.305 with an absurd 0.825 SLG%.

Gurriel Jr. has done most of his damage against right-handed pitchers this season with a .983 OPS.

The Phillies will start with left-hander Matt Strahm but then likely field right-hander Dylan Covey for the majority of the innings.

Covey is a 31-year-old journeyman who has enabled right-handers to bat .285/.345/.458 in 136 innings of his career.

Look for Gurriel Jr. to keep things going in Philadelphia.

Sonny Gray OVER 6.5 Strikeouts +120, BetMGM (stake: 1 unit to win 1.2 units)

The veteran right-hander had a phenomenal start to his campaign, beating 29.6% of the batters he faced.

He will face San Francisco at home on Tuesday.

This season, the Giants have the seventh-worst strikeout rate (23.9%) in MLB against right-handed pitchers.

Gray was very good at target field in 2023, cheering on 36.8% of batsmen compared to just 20.2% on the road.

The Giants hitters are likely to have trouble making contact against Gray.
