M&M’s Cuts wakes mascot after Tucker Carlson Joke but adds candy-covered Kamala Wannabe

Remember last year when Tucker Carlson mocked M&Ms in a rather amusing segment for replacing the green M&Ms’ heels with sneakers, saying they made the green M&Ms “less sexy”?
Well, he’s come again for M&M’s, and this time the company is taking the hammer.
On January 13th forbes reported that in response to a new Twitter ad ploy that featured only female M&Ms, Tucker Carlson had again shot at M&Ms and talked about “celebrating women across the country.”

In response, Carlson said in his segment that “Woke M&Ms have returned.” He also claimed that the Green M&M could now be lesbian and that “there’s also an oversized, obese Purple M&M, so obviously we’re going to cover that.”

Carlson wasn’t the only one to react negatively to this latest attempt at upbeat publicity, the reaction from people on Twitter was anything but friendly.

One of the most humorous responses came from conservative influencer Nick Adams, who said M&M’s new ad “is no laughing matter, it’s a legitimate crisis. Masculinity is under attack like at no other time in world history.”
Any sane American should be outraged that M&M woke up.

This time around, M&M’s couldn’t avoid backlash over their apparent PR stunt, issuing a statement on Twitter confirming the ad campaign had been “polarizing” and that they had decided to “take an indefinite hiatus from the spokenscandies.”
They also announced that the Spokenscandies would, for now, take their place in the commercial of comedian Maya Rudolph, who M&M says is “a spokeswoman America can agree on.”

However, people didn’t take that announcement well either, as one Twitter user said Rudolph was just another liberal comedian, who even dubbed her “Kamala 2.0.”

The lesson here is one we’ve seen time and time again: wake up, go broke. In the past year, M&M’s has now advertised twice awake, but this time they can’t escape the backlash.
