Lafayette Police Department is asking motorists to take an alternate route as an accident shut down two lanes of I-10 West at Mile Marker 104.
UPDATE (3:24 p.m.):
According to Sgt. Robin Green with Lafayette PD, all lanes are open following the accident with a tanker on I-10 West near the Louisiana Avenue exit.
According to Lafayette Police Sgt. Robin Green, the crash occurred just before 2 p.m. Tuesday afternoon (October 18).
Lafayette Police Officers are at the scene of a serious vehicular crash involving a fuel truck and vehicle with injuries. The crash occurred around 1:44 p.m. on I-10 near MM-104. Two westbound lanes are currently closed and one lane is open to traffic. Please avoid this area and use an alternative route if possible.
