Music and whiskey blending on stage at Yorkshire Distillery in Hunmanby
Next up at the tiny 40-seat venue will be the Hull-born singer and musician Carrie Martin – whose debut performance in Hunmanby in 2018 sold out.
She will be back at the venue on June 24th.
“We’re really excited to see Carrie, who has reignited the love of music she’s had since childhood and returned to writing, playing, singing and performing in 2011 after raising her family,” said Spirit of co-founder Yorkshire David Thompson.
“Her tone is somewhere between young Kate Bush and All About Eve’s Julianne Regan: tender but full of inner strength.”
“It will be a pleasure to welcome them back and hear music from their new album Evergreen.”
Spirit of Yorkshire co-founders David and Tom Mellor share a love of music and have designed Café Pot Still to accommodate a live band without overwhelming the space.
With only 40 seats, the café is a “small, intimate venue that attracts lovers of live music and good food,” they say.
Upcoming events include more “distillery sessions” with live music and the annual distillery open house on July 29th.
Tours of the distillery, which produces Yorkshire’s first single malt whisky, Filey Bay, are also available seven days a week.
