NBA Injury Report: LeBron James Doubtful, Nikola Jokic Doubtful & More Updates On Jamal Murray And TJ Warren

LeBron James, the LA Lakers’ four-time NBA MVP, remains a staple of their injury report as he’s still playing through left ankle pain. He’s been dealing with this problem for over a month and has missed a few games because of it.
James fought and looked gassed in the Lakers’ stunning 122-121 win over the brazen Memphis Grizzlies. He played 37 minutes and finished with 23 points, nine rebounds, six assists, two steals and two blocks. It took him 21 shots to hit his point production.
The Lakers could choose to keep him out against the Portland Trail Blazers tonight as he looks like he could use a little rest. Although James was incredibly good at this stage in his career, there is no denying the fact that he is now 38 years old.
The 18-time NBA All-Star is averaging 37.6 minutes in eight games this month, which head coach Darvin Ham admitted was a big problem. For this very reason, they might choose to keep him out of tonight on the streets.
All minutes are expected to rise as Anthony Davis, Austin Reaves and Lonnie Walker IV are already ruled out.
Meanwhile, reigning NBA MVP Nikola Jokic is listed as questionable in the Denver Nuggets’ official injury report. The Serb is reportedly struggling with left hamstring strains, so he was out in street clothes the other night.
Jokic didn’t fit in the Nuggets’ 134-111 win over the Indiana Pacers but could return tonight against the OKC Thunder. The status of “The Joker” will likely be determined after the morning shooting in Denver.
The four-time NBA All-Star submits MVP numbers again. In his last 15 games, he averaged 25.0 points in a ridiculously efficient clip. Jokic hits 63.5% of his shots, including an incredible 50.0% from deep.
Aside from his score, he averages 11.3 assists and 11.1 rebounds over the same stretch. He’s the main reason the Nuggets have the best record in the Western Conference.
Jamal Murray: Left Hip Strain; Injured since January 20, 2023
Jamal Murray had one of his best games of the season last Friday as he led the Denver Nuggets to a win over the Indiana Pacers. Without the reigning NBA MVP, Murray had 17 points, 10 rebounds and 14 assists, his first triple-double of his career.
However, the point guard suffered left hip strain, which has left him questionable for tonight’s matchup against OKC Thunder.
Bones Hyland, Murray’s main backup, is also in doubt. If neither can play tonight, Ish Smith and Christian Braun should play a bigger role than they have this season.
TJ Warren: bruised right knee; Injured since January 19, 2023
TJ Warren played just eight minutes in the Brooklyn Nets’ 117-112 loss to the Phoenix Suns last Thursday. He was on the court for 18 minutes the following night but had little effect in defeating the Utah Jazz.
Warren is playing through a bruised right knee, which is partly the reason for his problems. Because of that, he’s been declared a likely choice tonight when the Nets take on the defending NBA champions, the Golden State Warriors.
Warren’s offense is badly needed as former NBA MVP Kevin Durant was sidelined with an MCL sprain. Kyrie Irving’s 48 gave Brooklyn the win, but it was clear the Nets needed more offense off the bench.
He’s expected to play, but if he suffers a setback, he could return to action next Wednesday against the Philadelphia 76ers.
