Neil Druckmann took a cameo on return to Monkey Island and thanked the studio for making his dream to come true

Neil Druckmann, a director of The Last of Us, played a few more roles in Return to Monkey Island, a new novel in the legendary quest line. The developer was named after the owners of the game.

In the fourth chapter, Druckmann played one of the similarly dressed prisoners.

The game director tweeted this observation. He expressed eternal gratitude to the authors of the adventure for achieving life’s goals.

Return to Monkey Island liked Naughty Dog, the co-director. He called it one of the best adventure games ever made, exceeding even his crazy expectations. The developer recognized that one of the series’ writers, Ron Gilbert, was successful and thanked him for giving him a copy prior to release.

According to the photo taken by a game developer on Twitter, he went through the adventure on Steam Deck.

The return to the Monkey Islands is amazing! Simply one of the best adventure games of the time! Somehow I didn’t live up to my high expectations. Many thanks to @grumpygamer and Co.
