Netflix Unveils Trailer For New True Story Horror Series, ‘The Watcher,’ & It Looks Terrifying

Yes, that looks crazy.

Netflix has officially unveiled the trailer for Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan’s upcoming limited series. The Observer, scheduled to fall on October 13th.

The limited series is based on a true story about a stalker preying on a family in their New Jersey home, and boy is that nightmare fuel.

Corresponding Meeting, The series stars Naomi Watts and Bobby Cannavale as Maria and Derek Brannock, who move into their dream home.

However, things quickly get weird when they receive strange, spooky letters from someone claiming to be “The Watcher”.

This begins when the neighborhood’s dark history is revealed and the Brannocks’ dream home quickly turns into a nightmare.

Other stars include Margo Martingale, Jennifer Coolidge, Terry Kinney and Mia Farrow.

The series is based on the story of a couple who bought a Dutch Colonial home in New Jersey for a whopping $1.4 million in 1905, when they were eventually forced to leave the house after receiving constant letters from someone who claimed to be watching them.

One of the notes read:

“I am the guardian. Bring me your young blood”

Netflix landed the rights to The Observer in December 2018 after a bidding war with six other studios.

As crazy as that sounds, what freaks you out is that it could happen to anyone. I mean, some maniac just stalks you quietly, not hyper aggressively, but just enough to keep you constantly living in fear… No way.

I don’t want to watch this series, but I really want to see this series.
