The new Steam leak spoiled the reveal of the game from Paradox Interactive, the developer and publisher behind Crusader, Cities: Skylines and Europa Universalis IV. When it comes to strategy games, especially Grand Strategy, they are among the best in the business, however because they pursue many things only in strategy games, they are too unknown to many console players. Steam users don’t need to introduce them to them, and it looks like they’re already getting used to it.
According to the Steam Database, Paradox Interactive is developing or publishing a game called Surviving the Abyss. Sounds like a survival management game based on Paradox Interactive’s previous games. Despite the game’s title, that’s exactly what we have.
The game being added to the Steam database shows that it not only hides the game’s existence, but also suggests that it’s not that far away. Also, if one thing was that it hadn’t already been able to get a Steam page, it still was. If the game spins up a Steam page, it’s probably because it already has a release window.
With all that has been said, remember that this is not true now. It doesn’t mean it’s an official source, but it should be taken with a grain of salt in the meantime. Paradox Interactive has not commented on the above aspects, nor on the speculation it has generated. The same goes for Valve, the owner of Steam.
