NHL star hints at wrestling and names favorite WWE star

NHL star Pat Maroon named Stone Cold Steve Austin his favorite wrestler and claimed he could get in the ring after recently visiting WWE RAW.

The Tampa Bay Lightning forward recently visited RAW at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, FL and spoke about the experience during a press conference. Radio host Jay Recher was at the conference and uploaded a video of Maroon’s comments.

Pat was asked who his favorite wrestler was and the three-time Stanley Cup champion named Stone Cold Steve Austin.

“Maybe one day you’ll see me in the ring. My favorite wrestler, I mean, going back then, is probably Stone Cold Steve Austin. Wrestling isn’t the same as it used to be, those old school matches were great. But yes, we had a great time. WWE was great.” [00:08 – 00:24]

Pat added that he had a great time on RAW and praised the show’s production.

“It was great. You know I love wrestling. It was fun seeing it up close and also the behind the scenes production. So it was really great.” [00:33 – 00:42]

Ronda Rousey had an awkward interaction with Stone Cold backstage at WWE

Ronda Rousey is gearing up to face Liv Morgan in an Extreme Rules match at the title premium live event next month. On her YouTube channel, Ronda revealed an embarrassing interaction she had backstage with Steve Austin.

The Baddest Woman on the Planet said that she accidentally lactated in the WWE Hall of Famer. The 35-year-old said Stone Cold was really cool about it and the two are now on first-name terms following the incident.

“I breastfed on Steve. I’m calling him Steve now because once you’re breastfeeding on someone you’re on their first name, but he was really cool about it. And now I can say that probably just me and Kurt Angle got milk on Steve Austin. And that’s great company to be in. It was homogeneous. (0:04 – 0:25)

Stone Cold Steve Austin returned to the company and contested the Main Event of Night One of WrestleMania against Kevin Owens. After defeating KO, he reappeared in Night Two and hit former WWE CEO Vince McMahon with a stunner.

Time will tell if The Rattlesnake has any more gigs for the company in the future.
