Nicole Kidman went viral with a wild pose on the Oscars red carpet

Nicole Kidman has gone viral after posing seriously professionally on the Oscars red carpet on Sunday night (March 12).

There were big wins for the 2023 ceremony, held at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles Everything everywhere at oncewho took home seven awards, including Best Picture and Best Actress for Michelle Yeoh.

Kidman, who was nominated for Best Actress last year for her performance as Ricardos, attended this year’s event with her 17-year-old husband, Keith Urban.

In footage that went viral on Twitter overnight, Kidman can be seen tossing her long blonde hair over her shoulder and facing the camera with smoky eyes.

She wore a black Armani Privé dress with one shoulder and a thigh-high slit with glittering roses adorning her shoulder and waist.

Fans of the actor are over the moon about the clip on social media.

“NICOLE KIDMAN?????? MY JAW DROPPED,” one fan tweeted.

“THAT damn Nicole Kidman!!!!!” posted another.

A third added: “Omg. Nicole Kidman lends messy, sloppy glam! I like this!”


Elsewhere in the evening, Angela Bassett was praised for her “genuine” reaction to losing in the Best Supporting Actor category, and Hugh Grant was criticized for his awkward red carpet interview.

Host Jimmy Kimmel opened the LA event with an opening monologue in which he poked fun at him avatar Director James Cameron, Will Smith’s slap in the face last year and what viewers called a “low blow” the poor box office performance of Babylon.
