Northern Ireland traffic alerts: Moneymore road closed following ‘serious’ crash

A road in Moneymore was closed Tuesday night following a “serious collision”, according to the PSNI.

The incident happened in the Smith Street neighborhood.

A PSNI spokesman said: “Police are currently present in the Smith Street area of ​​Moneymore following a serious road traffic accident this evening Tuesday 2nd August. Drivers are advised to avoid the area and seek alternative main routes for their journey.”

Meanwhile, police are also currently present at the scene of a road traffic accident involving a single vehicle on Tollymore Road, Newcastle.

Detours will be put in place and police will urge motorists to avoid the area and find an alternative route.
