Guardiola wants Arsenal to win…
Pep Guardiola has hinted he would prefer Arsenal to beat Nottingham Forest and give Manchester City a chance to clinch the Premier League title on the pitch.
City are on an 11-game winning streak in the Premier League and have a four-point lead at the top of the table with one game left after the Gunners lost to Brighton last weekend.
The title officially goes to Manchester should Arsenal lose to Forest here, although Guardiola’s side will be confirmed as champions tomorrow if they beat Chelsea, regardless of what happens elsewhere.
When asked if he will watch the Arsenal game, the City manager revealed he would like his players to have the opportunity to do the job themselves in front of their home fans at the Etihad.
“I don’t think so, we have a game the next day,” said Guardiola.
“In my opinion, I believe that to become champions we have to win. It would be best to celebrate with our people in the stadium.”
Standard sports prediction
Arsenal have proven with their victories over Chelsea and Newcastle that they can recover from setbacks and should have enough to beat Forest despite their famous home support.
Arsenal win 3-1.

“[Martinelli and Zinchenko] both are out for the rest of the season,” said Arteta.

“Alex has a calf problem and will not be available for the next two games.”
