Back in the driver’s seat at tonight’s awards show is Jimmy Kimmel, who is returning as the host for the 2023 Oscars

Kimmel first hosted the awards in 2017, the year that la la country was incorrectly announced as the winner of Best Picture moonlight, the real winner. He hosted for the second time in 2018.

It may be a little late to see all 10 Best Picture nominees ahead of tonight’s ceremony, but we admire everyone who tried.

As you might expect, the official Oscar dinner is a lavish affair. On Sunday evening (March 12), Hollywood’s biggest stars will sit at a table after the award winners have been announced and enjoy culinary delights.

They may not have won Oscars, but these stars — who are often criticized for their acting skills — managed to put on some pretty spectacular performances while wowing everyone in the process.

Last year’s awards were, shall we say, slightly overshadowed by a certain slap in the face, meaning it’s easy to forget who actually won that night.

The episode began with a sketch set on the Oscars red carpet, with Mikey Day and Molly Kearney portraying the Irish actors in thick, hard-to-understand accents.
