I love PF Chang’s and since we don’t have one here in Lafayette I occasionally buy some of their frozen meals to satisfy my cravings.
However, if you buy PF Chang products, be sure to check them out before feeding the whole family. More than 100,000 pounds of PF Chang frozen products are being recalled over a branding issue.
The USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service said the recall’s issue had to do with mislabeling on the packaging.
The product that has the branding issue is the 22-ounce bags of frozen beef and broccoli. This pack actually has orange chicken instead of beef. There was also an issue with the bags that contained eggs, but that wasn’t listed in the ingredients either.
If you are looking for the exact description of the product, you can find it here:
22 ounces. Plastic bag packages of ‘PF CHANG’S HOME MENU BEEF & BROCCOLI’ with batch code ‘5006 2146 2012’ and ‘BEST UNTIL 21ST MAY 2023’.
“Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be discarded or returned to the place of purchase,” FSIS said in the announcement.
This recall only affects PF Chang’s frozen products and has nothing to do with the food served in the restaurants.
Consumers who have already purchased the recalled products should discard them immediately or return them to the store where they were purchased.
Consumers with questions about the recall may contact Conagra Brands’ Consumer Care Hotline at 800-280-0301 or email the company at Consumer.Care@conagra.com.
