Pecos & the rooftops left and landed a serious record deal.
The band shared the news on Instagram and said they’ve officially signed to Warner Records, which is a tremendous accomplishment for the formerly independent, Texas-based band that has been on the road for years.
Frontman Pecos Hurley shared a photo of the band at Warner for the signing, along with thanking his fans, family and management in the caption for helping them get to this point, adding that “it was a special day that I will never forget”:
“Signed to @warnerrecords yesterday and rocked LA with the boys. Thank you for believing in what we do and allowing us to pursue our dream. It was a special day that I will never forget 🤘🏽.
This is going to be a huge year and I can’t thank you all enough for being a part of this ride. S/o to @floatingleafent for being the best in the business, to the guys in our band and crew for always performing at the highest level, to our families and to my wife @jadehurley_ for being my best friend is and always believes in me.
2023 will be a good year. See you tonight in Roseville, CA at a sold out @goldfieldroseville 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽”
Congratulations to them, and hopefully that means we’re now getting very close to a debut studio album from these guys:
They originally wanted to release their debut album cabin fever released last year but with a busy touring schedule, a desire to really focus on making it perfect and obviously working to close that deal, that time frame has been pushed back a bit.
They’ve been one of the biggest names on the Texas rock scene for about two years and really blew up with the release of their hit “That Damn Song” as well as their Kickass debut EP, Red eye.
With a unique blend of genres including rock, blues, jazz and country, they are certainly a unique force in the current Texas music world and they are poised for a breakthrough and certainly a group to keep an eye on.
A few weeks ago they did even teased a clip from a new song that I already love the sound of and I suspect this will probably be the next single they come out with:
“More tunes are on the way in 2023…”
The Texas boys also released a couple of songs in 2022, including “time for wine” and “hurt no more” As well as releasing the lead single “Last night’s lashes” in December 2021.
Needless to say, they’re taking it to a whole other level now, and if you’re already a fan of Pecos and the Rooftops, or even if you’re not (yet), this is definitely a project and group up for this year have the radar.
