Pep Guardiola confirms Man City need to be cautious after Nathan Ake’s double injury

The Dutchman is currently believed to be City’s only major injury concern ahead of what will be a historic week for the club.
After securing the Premier League title, Guardiola’s side meet Manchester United and Inter Milan in the FA Cup and Champions League finals in the first half of June.
Despite interest from former club Chelsea in the summer, Ake has emerged as a key player at the Etihad Stadium.
Guardiola spoke of the need to add a “proper defender” to his back line after deviating from the 4-3-3 formation he had adopted for most of his career.
The 28-year-old has made 38 appearances in all competitions this season but recently suffered from a hamstring injury.
With little left to play in the Premier League, Guardiola hinted the defender would likely take a break pending the trips to Wembley and Istanbul.
“He is doing better. He is in the last phase (of his recovery),” the city boss said.
“After a second injury we have to be careful. In case we need him for United of Inter.”
