PokerStars is giving Ontario basketball fans a Red Pass treatment with Stapes & Shaban

Five lucky Toronto Raptors fans have won an extraordinary trip to see their favorite team play in LA. This lucky quintet won this opportunity through the PokerStars Red Spade Pass Program. In addition to watching a few Raptors games, the Red Spade Passers were shipped off to Vegas for a one-of-a-kind experience that included fine dining, Cirque du Soleil and a poker experience Joe Stapleton.

Stapleton MC led the case along with the PokerStars Ambassador Aria Shaban and Raptors commentator Jack Armstrong. The three celebrities hosted the Red Spade Passers throughout the experience, flying with them to Vegas and attending the Raptors games.

This Red Spade Pass event was “designed for the Raptors,” according to a PokerStars spokesperson. “Fan Insights has told us that during these winter months in Ontario, sports lovers are looking forward to a trip or road trip to see their team in warmer climates.”

Each of the winners won their passes in a different way.

a player, kianaShe earned her spot through the Raptors app. She was able to bring her father, who used to coach baseball. Both described their Red Spade Pass adventure as “the trip of a lifetime.”

Two other winners were won at Raptors Stadium in the Pass the Spade competition. In this competition, each section of Raptors Stadium competed to be the quickest to pass an inflatable poker chip from end to end.

The remaining two winners won their passes in a PokerStars Freeroll Spin and GameTime – a game played from home during a live Raptors game broadcast.

From Toronto to LA to Vegas

The Red Spade Pass experience began in Toronto, Ontario.

The winners and their companions boarded their flight to LA on Wednesday, arriving later that day. After a bite to eat, the first stop was the Arena. Here, the Red Spade Passers watched the Raptors lose to the Clippers.

The next day, everyone was up with the lark to board a private charter to Las Vegas.

After the plane landed, the Red Spade Pass winners proceeded to the poker room Resort world Las Vegas. Stapes was on hand to give everyone a quick course on Poker 101. Then the team went to the tables.

Despite being a poker novice, Kiana was the ultimate winner, earning a Raptors jersey signed by her favorite player.

After the poker session ended, the Passers went to dinner at Nobu, a Cirque du Soleil show Oand some after dinner slots.

After a full day of Vegas shenanigans, it was time to head back to the airport and LA.

…and back again

On Friday, the Red Spade Passers rested and took a breather after all the excitement. Several side activities were called due to the weather, allowing the Red Spade Passers to visit the spa at their hotel and get their bearings.

Bystanders then regrouped at the Arena that evening to watch the Raptors be beaten again, this time by the LA Lakers.

After the game, the Passers enjoyed LA’s famous food truck scene before returning to the airport for an overnight flight back to Toronto.
