Police find dead man at home in Felling, Gateshead

Officers were called to a home on Stainton Drive in the Felling area of ​​Gateshead just after 10:30am Wednesday morning (September 6).

When they entered the property, a dead man was found inside. His family has been informed.

Northumbria Police said they don’t think anyone else was involved.

A police spokesman said: “Just after 10.30am yesterday (Wednesday) we received a report of concerns for the welfare of a man at an address in the Stainton Drive area of ​​Felling.

“Emergency services were at the scene but unfortunately the body of a man was found at an address. His next of kin have been informed.

“Officials do not believe there was any third party involvement and a report is being prepared for the coroner.”
